We've gathered some of the most common questions that we get asked about Due North. If you don’t find your answer here, reach out and a Due North team member will get back to you shortly.
Due North was created to address the opportunity gap in North Tulsa and ensure residents have access to the education, training, and career support they need to succeed.
Due North is completely free of cost and is designed to help individuals take the next step, whether that’s earning a high school equivalency, getting certifications through technical training, or finding a better job. With career coaching, workshops, and wraparound support, our team is here to help individuals reach their career and education goals, while also partnering with employers to connect them to skilled, job-ready talent.
Together, we’re building a stronger, more thriving future for the community.
Due North is a program of Madison Strategies Group, a nonprofit organization that is funded through private foundations and local, state, and federal grants. Due North is entirely free to District 1 and 3 residents. All we ask is that you show up and put in the work to succeed.
That’s okay! Send us a message, and a Due North team member will reach out and provide you with more information. If you are outside of our service area, we will work with you to find other Madison Strategies Group programs or resources to help you.
The beginning services we provide are soft skills—things like resume writing, mock interviews, communication skills, job search strategies, and emotional intelligence.
From there, we help you identify the next steps leading you to a career you’ll love. That could mean pursuing your high school equivalency, or in-demand certifications in careers in transportation and logistics, manufacturing, and healthcare.
We also offer workshops, job placement, and career coaching to help you gain skills, find a job, and move forward in your career.
Our most common job readiness workshop is our week-long Career Readiness Training (CRT). CRT is an interactive course designed to prepare you for employment.
It includes topics such as resume building, mock interviewing, workplace communication, job search strategies, filling out job applications, industry knowledge, and more.
We also offer additional standalone career workshops focused on resumes, interviewing, and job searching.
That’s fine! We’ll work with you and set the right goals for you. We just want to start the conversation about your future.
All services from Due North are free. No questions asked. There are no additional fees to be a part of the program.
